Estero Ekklesia is a church for those who feel called to ministry by God and desire training to walk out their calling.
If you feel you have been overlooked in the past, we want to lift you up and equip you. As a believer, you must become who God designed you to be so you can walk in the ministry He prepared for you.
With a mission from our Father in Heaven, Estero Ekklesia is partnering with believers everywhere to be iron sharpened by iron until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood. (Eph 4:13)
God is stirring a community of believers who are committed to becoming spiritually mature - to become wholly who God has destined us to be: unoffendable and devoted to Love, Order, Unity and Balance within the Body of Christ.
Estero is a Spanish word for Estuary. An estuary is a place where a fresh water river meets the salt water of the ocean or sea. The Holy Spirit is symbolized as fresh water in scripture, and the seas often represent the people of the world.
God planted the Doty family in Estero, FL to fulfill His vision of bringing the truth of the scripture as confirmed by the Holy Spirit to the people of this world.
Our mission is to become mature, unoffendable believers while helping others do the same.
Ekklesia is the Greek word used throughout the New Testament that is most frequently translated as Church. There are two problems with this:
1. Church = a physical building
2. Ekklesia = much more than the common definition of "called out ones"
Yes, the church (Body of Christ) is made up of "called out ones", but we are more than that. We are actually called to be ushering in the government of Heaven.
Understanding ekklesia helps us understand that we have a mandate from Jesus to accomplish something great.
